Tibetans in anguish as Chinese mines pollute their sacred grasslands

Bill Laurie, Historian:  Amazing.   Decades ago China decided it wanted the sovereign adjoining country of Tibet, so they took it by force of arms.   A failed uprising in '59 added to death toll of over one million Tibetans.  Scores of monasteries have been demolished.     Presently there are more ethnic Chinese in Tibet  than there are native Tibetans.  China extracts whatever it wants from Tibet and its economy, and no one...not anyone...says anything.   It's never been in the "news."      If the Untied States seized only one state of Mexico the world would be in an uproar.  In the past five yeas a number of Tibetans have self-immolated to protest China's  occupation.   Not one report, not one photo has ever made the main-stream news reporting (sic).
