Hàng năm đến ngày này các cộng đồng người Việt trên khắp thế giới tưởng nhớ đến công đức cùa vị anh hùng dân tộc Đức Hưng Đạo Đại Vương Trần Quốc Tuấn, Đức Bình Định Vương Lê Lợi và công thần Lê Lai liều mình cứu chúa.Riêng tại San Diego, Hội Hải Quân Hàng Hải đã phối hợp với Cộng Đồng Người Việt San Diego, Hội Đền Hùng, Hội Hùng Sử Việt, các Hội đoàn quân binh chủng và thân hữu Hải Quân từ Orange County đã tổ chức Lễ Húy Nhật ĐứcThánh Trần, Bình Định Vương Lê Lợi và anh hùng Lê Lai rất tôn nghiêm và đúng theo nghi thức cổ truyền.  
Bà Kim Trang Chủ Tịch Cộng Đồng, ông Trần Văn Hoạch, Hội Trưởng Hội Đền Hùng, niên trưởng Nguyễn Thiện Lý, anh Dương Hồng Hội Trưởng Hội HQHH, anh Đặng Thành Long HQ Orange County và anh Trần Trung Nghĩạ, giám đốc TNT Radio lên tiếng ca tụng công đức của các vị anh hùng dân tộc và nguyện noi gương tiền nhân không bao giờ khuất phục bạo quyền cộng sản và cầu xin Đức Thánh Trần,Ngài được quân chủng Hải Quân tôn vinh là Thánh Tổ Hải Quân,Đức Bình Định Vương Lê Lợi, công thần Lê Lai phù hộ cho đất nước và dân tộc sớm thoát ách cộng Sản.

Mọi người đã dùng bữa cơm trưa đoàn kết và phụ diễn văn nghệ rất vui vẻ.

Questions & Answers_Bill Laurie

Will be speaking to college VN class this week.  They've already submitted 17 questions, answers to which I've since emailed back to their instructor, a USAF VN veteran with history Ph.D.  The presentation will touch on some of these topics and issues but will include much more than contained in these answers.  Here are the questions and answers..... 1. What do you feel the television media effects were on not only the soldiers, but the Vietnamese people as well? It's arguable that television/media coverage had little direct effect on troops, and less so on Viet Namese people, because they didn't see much of it.  It had a huge cumulative indirect effect on both because "news"(?), shallow and biased as it was, did effect people in U.S., both amongst general public and elected officials and decision makers.  The effect was detrimental.
