Em nhớ anh không, Nàng Tiên nho nhỏ
Hỡi Nàng Tiên kiều diễm rất hay hờn
Xa em muôn trùng thương nhớ em hơn
Nhiều lúc phải gọi thầm: "Em!!! nhớ qúa !!!"
 
Từ gặp em, tháng ngày sao đẹp lạ
Nắng đã tươi, mưa cũng chẳng u buồn
Lịch vơi dần, tình lại cứ đầy hơn
Và nở những đóa hoa yêu kỳ bí
 
Xa một giờ lòng gần thêm một tí
Dù đường dài ngàn dặm thẳng chim bay
Iraq dầu sôi, lửa bỏng đêm ngày
Anh vẫn có những giây lòng mát mẻ
 
Khi nghĩvề em,  Nàng Tiên be bé
Nép bên anh, ngày ấy, buổi ra quân
Đôi mắt sũng buồn, lo lắng, phân vân ...
Em đã khóc, giọt lệ tình trong suốt !

Anh ôm vai em dỗ dành, hẹn ước
Nín. Nàng Tiên! Ai khóc thế bao giờ !
Ngày hòa bình và thế giới đầy thơ
Ta sẽ cưới nhau,  xây đời hạnh phúc
 
Vắng xa anh, Tiên có buồn, chớ khóc !
Nhớ anh ư? xin cầu nguyện thanh bình !
Nếu vì đời, anh có phải hy sinh
Hãy hãnh diện bên quan tài người lính !
 
Vì quan tài được quốc kỳ ôm kín
Được anh em tay súng đứng nghiêm chào
Được tiếc thương luyến nhớ biết nhường bao
Chết vinh dự còn hơn hèn hạ sống !!!
 
Phải thế không em, Nàng Tiên rất mộng
Rất nên thơ, anh yêu dấu trên đời ???
Qùa Noel, Tiên nữ của anh ơi
Tặng em đấy, thư tình từ Iraq !!!

Questions & Answers_Bill Laurie

Will be speaking to college VN class this week.  They've already submitted 17 questions, answers to which I've since emailed back to their instructor, a USAF VN veteran with history Ph.D.  The presentation will touch on some of these topics and issues but will include much more than contained in these answers.  Here are the questions and answers..... 1. What do you feel the television media effects were on not only the soldiers, but the Vietnamese people as well? It's arguable that television/media coverage had little direct effect on troops, and less so on Viet Namese people, because they didn't see much of it.  It had a huge cumulative indirect effect on both because "news"(?), shallow and biased as it was, did effect people in U.S., both amongst general public and elected officials and decision makers.  The effect was detrimental.
