Hai mươi ba năm dưới ách độc tài
Tunisian dựng cơn bão nổi
Họ vùng lên, đập tan đời tăm tối
Giành lại cho đời hạnh phúc, bình minh

Ơi, Việt Nam, xin nhìn lại chính mình
Hơn sáu mươi năm độc tài lừa dối
Tổ quốc đau thương vẫn chờ vẫn đợi
Tiếng trống Diên Hồng giục giã lòng ai

Hỡi những Quang Trung, hồn nước u hoài
Chờ Trưng-Triệu-Nguyễn-Lê-Trần-Ðinh-Lý
Mau lên nhé, xin chung lòng, góp trí
Gần bảy chục năm quá đủ oan hờn

Dân số nước người mười triệu hoặc hơn
Sau hăm ba năm người ta vùng dậy
Tám chục triệu, mình nhiều hơn họ đấy
Gần bảy mươi năm sao vẫn ngủ vùi ...??

Thức dậy đi nào... dân tộc tôi ơi ...
Dân Chủ Tự Do không là tặng vật !
Mà phải đấu tranh một còn, một mất
Phải lấy máu mình rửa hận cho quê !!!

Sáu mươi sáu người oanh liệt nằm kia
Họ đã chết cho quê hương họ sống
Ôi cái chết làm lòng người rúng động
Tô nghìn năm lịch sử nét huy hoàng

Cái chết anh hùng, chết ấy vinh quang
Xin kính cẩn đứng nghiêng mình ngưỡng phục
Thà chết vinh còn hơn là sống nhục
Hỡi Việt Nam ! Tổ Quốc đủ đau rồi ...

Con cháu Tiên Rồng thức dậy đi thôi
Ðừng để thẹn với người trong bốn cõi ...

Questions & Answers_Bill Laurie

Will be speaking to college VN class this week.  They've already submitted 17 questions, answers to which I've since emailed back to their instructor, a USAF VN veteran with history Ph.D.  The presentation will touch on some of these topics and issues but will include much more than contained in these answers.  Here are the questions and answers..... 1. What do you feel the television media effects were on not only the soldiers, but the Vietnamese people as well? It's arguable that television/media coverage had little direct effect on troops, and less so on Viet Namese people, because they didn't see much of it.  It had a huge cumulative indirect effect on both because "news"(?), shallow and biased as it was, did effect people in U.S., both amongst general public and elected officials and decision makers.  The effect was detrimental.
